PEAK-License Dongle

The PEAK-License Dongle is a portable license container for PCAN-Explorer 7.

Instead of activating your license on a specific PC or server, the license can be stored on this physical USB key. When the dongle is connected to a compatible computer, PCAN-Explorer 7 runs using the license stored on the device.

This provides flexibility for engineers who:

- Work across multiple computers
- Move between office and on-site environments
- Require portable access without fixed PC activation

The dongle itself does not include a license.
It acts purely as a secure container for a separately purchased PCAN-Explorer 7 license.

If a license is already activated on a PC or server, it can be transferred onto a dongle at any time using the PEAK licensing system. After each license transfer, a 24-hour waiting period applies before the license can be moved again.

The dongle is available in both USB-A and USB-C versions. There is no functional difference between the two - the choice depends purely on available ports and user preference. Both types work identically for Single User and Floating licenses.

All dongles are identical and interchangeable. They are not serialised and can be replaced if required.
